Are you waiting for the right time to start something?
Are you just too busy to take on that one thing you’ve been wanting or needing to do, but you just can’t fit it into your schedule right now?
That was me.
But as I sit here, typing this blog post, I am enjoying my post workout shake after my first work out in a 90 day plan that I could have easily put off for at least 2 or 3 more months. Ridiculous isn’t it? I know. So much so because I’ve already put this off for nearly 5 months already! Isn’t everyone’s new years’ resolution to work out more? Eat healthier?
I get it. Life is busy.
- I’m leaving for a five day business trip on Wednesday.
- Then we have company in town the week that I get back.
- The next two weeks I have to prepare for our family’s move to North Carolina.
- Then I have to take at least a week to get our house settled.
- Then we are driving to Iowa for a family event the first week in July.
……see how easy it is to keep putting things off? But I am DOING IT!
No More Excuses!
It’s just not the right time.
In my business, there is a one-time investment of just $29.00 to start. That’s it… and yet, so many people come up with the excuse that they can’t afford it right now. I totally understand that lots of people are hurting right now financially. Some people are really struggling. But looking at all these excuses… aren’t they the reasons WHY you should be taking action? They shouldn’t be preventing you from making that change, they are the WHY behind making that change.
I’ve been there myself when I was working, and going to college full time and supporting my daughter all by myself while trying to pay the bills. But if you want to change the way your life is heading… things have to CHANGE!
Sounds obvious, but some people don’t get it.
It takes sacrifice. And yes timing is everything… but within reason. Just because you have an excuse NOT to do something, doesn’t make it NOT the right time.
Would skipping a pizza night be worth starting an amazing business to earn additional income to help pay off your debt?
Would selling a few things around the house on Craigslist or at a yard sale be worth having more financial freedom?
Would cooking a meal at home instead of eating out one night be worth the money you save to live the life you deserve?
If someone really wanted to make a change, they would do whatever it takes to make it happen. Would you agree? It’s never the right time for something. You have to choose to make the time to do it.
It’s like deciding to have a baby. How many people have you heard say, “We are waiting for the right time to start a family.” Oh my. Well, if it was ever the right time to completely disrupt your child free life and give up all your freedom and personal life to have children, no one would have children. You have to just let it happen, or make the choice to do it, and make the sacrifice. It is always worth it. My kids are the best things that have ever happened in my life. See what an amazing difference these choices can make in your life?
It’s a choice.
And the choice is yours.
You can wake up and decide if you want to fill your day with excuses, or decide that it IS the right time to go for your dreams.
